A Message From the Office of the President,
Greetings to all of our current loyal SPORTea® enthusiasts as well as future customers. The launch of our new website celebrates 25 years in business with just one product… and ushers in a new era. Starting now, ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE Products Inc. (the owners and makers of SPORTea®) will embark upon some dynamic new directions.
We will look forward to greater communication with our customer base via the new website capabilities which is so exciting because we hope to be receiving lots of stories from you about your use and enjoyment of SPORTea® and the company will be developing new products in the “genre” of SPORTea®. We hope these products will address addition of more segments of ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE products suitable to the healthy, active lifestyle modes of each of you…… our customers! This is very exciting for all of us as we enter stage II of our corporate/product development… the products that we are identifying are truly quite special and we are confident that many you will just love them!
ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE Products, Inc. (UPP,Inc.) was originally formed to bring to market products that were part of a family of products that were each “ultimate”in their own categories. The first product of course was SPORTea®, the ultimate daily beverage®. This product as many of you know has been around for a long time and continues to truly deliver on its promise. UPP,Inc. is a family run company that cares deeply about its employees and customers and has a focus that is long-term. This new website being launched has been three years in development. Good things don't come easy and this has been a big challenge for our small company… we hope you like it and will participate with us through it.
At this point I would like to share just a bit of history with you. SPORTea® was developed as an alternative beverage that had quality at its foundation and that contained attributes that would be of value to a very broad range of consumers. Things like a full daily dose of vitamin C; and ginger to help with your circulation; and trace minerals and electrolytes to replenish and revitalize your system; and a slightly CitrusSweet™ taste profile that truly quenches your thirst without an aftertaste: and an energizing approach with the Siberian ginseng and other nutrients that is a performance bodily systems efficiency oriented form of energy as opposed to a “burst”energy concept that hits the central nervous system with a bunch of caffeine or sugar and then lets you down later…..SPORTea® sustains us throughout the day and never lets us down!
SPORTea® is consumed by folks from all walks of life….. people at work who desire greater mental alertness and higher levels of sustained performance; everyday athletes who want to perform at peak levels and take on greater training loads; and Olympic athletes who want to be a live take on greater training will perform at peak levels; housewives that need a lift; hard-working people that feel the stress of life and need some relief and a beverage that revitalizes them, kids on soccer teams; and active senior citizens that need a bit more energy (don't all of us!).
As we move forward from here, ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE Products Inc. is enthusiastically pursuing additional products that will leave you, our valued loyal customers, feeling the same about them that you do about SPORTea®. Our goal is that these new products will be unique; that they will be premium quality products; that they will add value to your lives; that you will want to share them with your friends, work associates, and family members; and that most of all THESE “ULTIMATE” PRODUCTS WILL DELIVER !!!
One final note…. Because SPORTea® has grown over the years primarily by word of mouth from you, our loyal customers, to others in your circle of friends and associates we will be instituting some time in the near future a unique REWARDS PROGRAM. This program will allow each and every one of you to continue to share SPORTea® and any of the new products coming down the line with others as you always have only now once your friends and associates sign up to purchase our “ultimate” products you will begin to receive and accumulate points from their first purchase and every purchase thereafter that can be exchanged once they reach certain amounts for SPORTea® or any of the other new products as they are introduced. This is our way of saying thank you for your support up to now and in the days ahead. Thank you!

Recipe of the Month
Summer Peach and Berry Pie
Ingredients:
4 cups peaches - pitted and sliced
1cup fresh berries
3/4 cup white sugar
3 table spoons all purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 (9 inch) pie crusts
2 table spoons butter softened and cut into pieces
1 table spoon coarse granulated sugar
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400˚F
2. Place peaches in colander for 15 minutes to drain any excess fluid, then transfer to large bowl. Gently toss with sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Transfer to a pie crust, dot with butter and top with remaining crust. Cut vents in top crust, and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
Don't forget to enjoy with an ice cold glass of SPORTea®!

Free Radicals in Your Body?
Recently physicians have started noticing a change in free radical quantities in today's population. This could be due to the increasing pollution across the globe, or maybe it's the result of a growing nutritional problem in today's world, nobody knows for certain. Free radicals are simply free floating protons or charged ions, that are detrimental to your health. These charged particles floating around your body are unstable, they roam around and “attack” surrounding cells and tissue. Research shows that this can lead to the break down of tissues, general immune system depletion, disease and many other lasting negative effects.
The free radicals “attack” these neighboring cells by stealing an electron, balancing their own outer electron shell, thus making the free radical back into a stable atom (molecularly and and electronically balanced). However when this free radical steals an electron from the host cell it creates another free radical in the process, a new charged particle that will float around and potentially damage other cells. This creates a vicious circle that can cascade and potentially lead to tissue damage and disease, it is especially scary because free radical damage in our bodies accumulates with age and can make us feel run down and tired on a daily basis.
The Question now arises, “How can I reduce the free radical damage in my body?”. Electrolytes and antioxidants. Electrolytes and antioxidants are free roaming (usually) negatively charged particles found in fruits, vegetables, and more importantly SPORTea®.
