Siberian Ginseng "Eleuthero" and Scientific Findings

Eleuthero, also known as Siberian Ginseng, is the second most predominant ingredient in SPORTea®. Ginseng has been a favored daily rejunator in Europe, China, and Japan for centuries and is highly regarded as an "adaptogen" - a substance used to stimulate and enhance physical and mental body functions. SPORTea® is formulated using the organic variety of Eleuthero; Ginseng harvested in Northern China where it is consumed daily in the form of a tea combined with other herbs. Siberian Ginseng fights stress as it provides an energizing effect by enhancing both the efficiency and overall balance of bodily systems, thus improving and promoting functional performance. Siberian Ginseng is
also frequently taken to counteract the effects of alcohol consumption and office burnout due to fatigue. Furthermore, this type of Ginseng is not specifically male or female oriented (like some other varieties), rather, it works well for both. Our company has inquired and been advised that Siberian Ginseng from Northern China, has never had a negative critique filed on its behalf with the National Herb Research Foundation (Boulder, CO). So, you can enjoy the benefits of this beverage without worry or concern about negative side effects.

Siberian Ginseng promotes immune function and much more: "Taken regularly it enhances immune function, reduces cortisol levels and inflammatory response, and it promotes improved cognitive and physical performance. In human studies Eleuthero has been successfully used to treat bone marrow suppression caused by chemotherapy or radiation, angina, hypercholesterolemia, and neurasthenia with headache, insomnia, and poor appetite." - Plant Adaptogens III, Earlier and More Recent Aspects and Concepts On Their Mode of Action, Phytomedicine, 1999 (View abstract)

Siberian Ginseng improves quality of life in the elderly: "Our studies demonstrated that ELEUTHEROCOCCUS SENTICOSUS improves self-reported quality of life in elderly, without affecting their blood pressure control. It also improves aspects of mental health and social functioning after 4 weeks of therapy." - EFFECTS OF SIBERIAN GINSENG (ELEUTHEROCOCCUS SENTICOSUS MAXIM.) ON ELDERLY QUALITY OF LIFE: A RANDOMIZED CLINICAL TRIAL. Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics, 2004. (View abstract)
